Aruba
Aruba is a fantastic place to take a vacation. During our trip, upon a Carnival Cruise ship Destiny, we spent a day in Aruba. The natural bridge rock formation was awesome. It was one of the most impresive geological formations I have seen. My understanding is that this formation collapsed during Sept 2005.

By that place was some ruins of an old fort or something. Aruba has many snorkeling adventures. We took one of the cateramans (boat with net) there and it was very fun. There were plenty of fish to see. I had the pleasure of seeing an octopus and sevaral blue tangs. We went snorkeling on the Northeast side of the island but I have heard there is more marine life on the West side. So next time I’ll try out that side of the island.
The butterfly farm was another neat attraction. It’s an area that is enclosed with nets and has thousands of butterflies. It was a treat indeed.
Some of the other attractions are diving, kayaking, and a pirate ship ride. There are casinos too but I don’t believe in gambling. If you like to shop, don’t go to Aruba during Easter. The shops are closed on Easter. Of course, that is one way to keep the wife from spending a lot of money, not that my wife would do that, but some of them do. There was a free duty shop though and we did pick up some souveneirs there.
The sunset on the North side of the island was second to none. Have you ever really seen a bad one though? Aruba was great place to visit and a lot of fun. Please add your comment here if you have been there.
